Penalty Procedure

Framework for plagiarism (copying from another student or extensive copying (or paraphrasing) from other sources without proper citation) • 1st offence - Explain plagiarism as defined by Global University, issue a warning, and have the student resubmit the assignment (without grade penalty but a €20 charge is requested). • 2nd offence - Issue a warning and have the student resubmit the assignment (maximum resubmission grade of 16/20). A €40 charge is requested). • 3nd offence - Assign a grade of zero for the assignment, with no resubmission allowed A €60 charge is requested. • 4rd offence - Assign a grade of zero for the course. The student would need to re-enroll in the course under a disciplinary status, all fees included. • Subsequent violations may result in dismissal as determined by the undergraduate dean.
